About Us
Hi, my name is Leonelly. After becoming a mother in 2010, I was inspired to start a blog to connect with other parents who were juggling career and mom life, and graduate school where most of my research was in child cognitive development and exceptional student education and keeping up with my own son’s active, engaged life. From a young age, he needed structure so we learned that music lessons and sports helped since 5yrs old he was in taekwondo and baseball, and participated in the city’s flag football team.. Fast forward 10 years this August, now a 2nd dan black belt tae kwon do teen, baseball player in a local travel JV league, and a rising first year socially engaged high schooler. Since then, I’ve had the honor of meeting and sharing many of the hand-on activities we had started at-home and the lessons we also held with other friends while tutoring after school. After getting encouraged by other parents, the blog was developed to share with other parents all across the globe. With the launch of STEAM 4Youth Future, I’ve condensed all my favorite Steam lessons into two age groups and the programs for both Eagles kids Club and Innovators Teens Club. The best part? Together we probably already have the supplies we need to get started.
Our mission is to foster a love of learning in your young ones, through creative steam based activities and prompts to encourage active, engaged, and productive lives.
